Atil, or Itil, sometimes Atil (Itil)-Khazarān, also Ḵh̲azarān Atil, the Ḵh̲azar capital, a double town on the lower Volga, itself called Atil, Itil [q.v.] in the early mediaeval period. The exact site is unknown.2
