[A] town in the Tihāma [q.v.] coastal plain of Yemen, at about 25 km/15 miles from the Red Sea, in a region of fertile agricultural lands irrigated by two major wādīs , Zabīd to the south and Rimaʿ to the north.2

وخرجت لزيارة قبر هذا الرجل الصالح، وهو بقرية يقال لها: غسانة خارج زبيد.5
