“ولعبد الله المذكور ابن عمّ اسمه حسن، وهو من سكان وادي نخلة، وكان إذ ذاك بمكة، فأعلمته بما جرى على ابن عمه” 4
“ولقد أكلت بها من الفواكه العنب والتين والخوخ والرطب ما لا نظير له في الدنيا، وكذلك البطيخ المجلوب اليها لا يماثله سواه طيبا وحلاوة، واللحوم بها سمان لذيذات الطعوم. وكل ما يفترق في البلاد من السلع، فيها اجتماعه. وتجلب لها الفواكه والخضر من الطائف ووادي نخلة وبطن مرّ، لطفا من الله بسكان حرمه الأمين ومجاوري بيته العتيق.” 3
