“ثم ذكرت المغرب ورسمته في وجهين وبدأت بذكر ما حاد منه ارض مصر الى المهدية والقيروان وما في براريها من المدن وان قلت واعقبتها بباقى صورته من القيروان والمهدية الى ارض طنجة وأزيلى” 1
“واما سطفورة فاقليم ايضا على البحر جليل له ثلاث مدائن فاقربهن الى تونس أنبلونة ثم تنجة ثم بنزرت وهى مدينة على البحر خصيبة اصغر من سوسة في ذاته وعامل هذه البلاد ينزل في بنزرت وبها ثمار كثيرة وانهار سطفورة واسعة غزيرة والارتفاع بها” 2
