“ومن عجائب هذا الموضع المعروف بجمكان أن نصفه ممّا يلي شيراز وذلك مسافة اثنى عشر فرسخا شديد البرد وينزل فيه الثلج واكثر شجره الجوز، والجزء الآخر ممّا يلي بلاد هنج وبال وبلاد اللّار في طريق هرمز شديد الحرّ وفيه شجر النخيل.” 3
