Fasā is a city located 164 km from Shiraz close to the Persian/Arabian Gulf. It is situated in 28° 56′ N. Lat. and 53° 39′ E. Long. (Greenwich); it is 1,561 metres above sea level.3

ثم سافرنا إلى كارزي، وضبط اسمها بفتح الكاف وسكون الراء وكسر الزاي، وأقمنا بها ثلاثا ثم سافرنا إلى جمكان، وضبط اسمها بفتح الجيم والميم والكاف وآخره نون، ثم سافرنا منها إلى ميمن، وضبط اسمها بفتح الميم وبينهما ياء آخر الحروف مسكنة وآخره نون، ثم سافرنا إلى بسّا ، وضبط اسمها بفتح الباء الموحدة والسين المهملة مع تشديدها، ثم إلى مدينة شيراز فوجدنا سلطانها أبا اسحاق على ملكه إلا أنه كان غائبا عنها، ولقيت بها شيخنا الصالح العالم مجد الدين 1»قاضي القضاة وهو قد كف بصره نفعه الله ونفع به. 2
