“السبخة : بالتحريك، واحدة السباخ، الأرض الملحة النازة : موضع بالبصرة؛ ينسب إليه أبو يعقوب فرقد بن يعقوب السبخي من زهاد البصرة، صحب أبا الحسن البصري وسمع نقرأ من التابعين، وأصله من أرمينية وانتقل إلى البصرة فكان يأوي إلى السبخة، ومات قبل سنة 131” 1
