“فيأخذ الجوهر في دينه أو ما وجب له منه، ثم سافرنا من سيراف إلى مدينة البحرين، وهي مدينة كبيرة حسنة ذات بساتين وأشجار وأنهار، وماؤها قريب المؤونة يحفر عليه بالأيدي فيوجد، وبها حدائق النخل والرمان والأترج، يزرع بها القطن وهي شديدة الحر كثيرة الرمال وربما غلب الرمل على بعض منازلها وكان فيما بينها وبين عمان طريق استولت عليه الرمال وانقطع” 4
