“والجامع الثاني جامع السلطان، وهو خارج البلد وتتّصل به قصور تنسب للسلطان، والجامع الثالث جامع الرصافة وبينه وبين جامع السلطان نحو الميل. ذكر قبور الخلفاء ببغداد وقبور بعض العلماء والصالحين بها. وقبور الخلفاء العبّاسييّن رضى الله عنهم بالرّصافة.” 1
